SCREENPRINTING:

Screenprinting is the process of applying a permanent decoration to a garment by pushing ink through a stencil on a screen. This method can utilize special effects inks like, puff, metallic, and fluorescent.

 

This is often the most cost-effective option for prints with only a few colours or large quantities. But, due to the more involved setup process, screenprinting has a higher minimum order quantity and setup cost than digital printing.

DIGITAL PRINTING:

Digital printing on garments uses special waterbased inks printed in CMYK + White. This method can achieve gradients, photo prints and full colour designs that are more difficult or expensive with screenprinting. They have a smooth, soft hand and excellent durability.

 

Because they are costed by area, larger print runs that have only one are two colours are can be more economical when screenprinted.

CUSTOM PRINTING FAQ

I DON'T NEED A BUNCH OF SHIRTS, CAN YOU PRINT UP SMALL AMOUNTS?

Short answer, yes. The screen print process is most efficient when done for large quantities. Due to this, our minimum order starts at 12 pieces for a 1 colour graphic. 

 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

There are multiple factors that makeup an orders total. Since each order is unique the best way to know is by contacting us for an accurate quote. Things that factor into printing costs would include:

  • Total number of shirts (per design)

  • Number of ink colours in the design

  • Number of print locations

  • The style/brand/blend of the item being printed on

 

CAN YOU SCREENPRINT ANYTHING BESIDES T-SHIRTS?

Yes! We have the ability to print:

  • T-shirts

  • Tank Tops

  • Sweatshirts

  • Tote Bags

  • Blankets

  • Bandanas

DO I HAVE TO SUPPLY MY OWN SHIRTS?

No, we have accounts set up with a large network of distributors to get you the products you need at a good price and without the hassle of ordering and receiving.

If you want to provide your own blanks this is something we can accommodate with an additional charge but often new or unknown fabrics can have unexpected reactions during the printing process so it is best if you have a sample of a garment or fabric that we can review before quoting your job. I HAVE AN IDEA, BUT I DON'T HAVE A DESIGN. IS THIS SOMETHING YOU CAN HELP ME WITH?

Absolutely. One of our favourite things about doing what we do is having the ability to help bring your ideas to life. If you need design services we offer this at a rates starting at $75/hour for custom designs.

CAN I SUBMIT MY OWN ARTWORK?

For sure!

If you have pre-made artwork that you want to use, we ask that you send that over to us with your inquiry so we can make sure it is something we are capable of producing. Printable files must be at least 300 dpi in .pdf or .eps file formats.

 

Artwork provided to us that does not meet artwork requirements, will incur a $75/hr design fee to convert or re-create it in a print-ready format. We will always give you an estimate before doing this work.

WILL I GET A PROOF BEFORE YOU GO TO PRINT?

You will be supplied a digital mock-up of your order prior to print. All art must be approved online. Changes to the artwork after approving the mock-up could push back your ship date. We will not be responsible for errors, misspelling, or otherwise in approved digital mock-ups and artwork.

HOW SOON COULD I GET AN ORDER COMPLETED?

Our standard turnaround time is 7-10 business days for most jobs but due to current conditions in staffing and supply chain we reserve the right to make adjustments to timelines. If you have a hard deadline for your project please let us know up front so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.

Rush orders are possible at an additional fee and but will also depend on our availability.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT BEFORE PRINTING?

Yes, we typically require a deposit of at least 80% to begin your order with the balance due COD. 

For rush jobs we require 100% pre-payment.
